He recently exited as CEO of a hydrocarbon technology company, which he scaled from $5 million to $350 million valuation. Ryan specializes in leveraging technologies to optimize industrial processes for hydrogen, alternative carbon uses, and new energy projects.
Ryan has held leadership roles like CEO, director, and manager at prominent companies like thyssenkrupp. His expertise spans coal, nuclear, oil and gas operations as well as a decade focused on hydrogen and emerging energy domains. Ryan previously led an AIM-listed waste plastic-to-hydrogen firm.
A Chartered Engineer, Ryan holds an MBA from Durham University and a BSc in Energy Technology from the University of Aston. His technical and entrepreneurial skillset drives innovation in the energy transition landscape.

A former elite trampolinist, she earned British Bronze and Junior Commonwealth Silver & Gold medals.
Thomas Mahy, PhD. combines over seven years of hands-on chemical engineering experience with a deep specialisation in carbon nanotube (CNT) growth. Thomas brings both academic excellence and practical expertise to our groundbreaking projects. His extensive knowledge in CNT technology is crucial as we scale up our proprietary manufacturing processes, directly impacting our ability to innovate and meet the growing demands of our global clients.
John Luckett joins TrimTabs as Development Engineer, helping turn scientific and engineering concepts into operational capabilities. He leads production unit operations, contributes to engineering models, and drives technical analysis. Previously, John led technology development at Armadillo Metal Coatings and worked on process improvements at Tata Steel. He holds an M.Eng in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Birmingham and is an avid mountaineer and cyclist.
